Paris Saint-Germain pulled off a stunning comeback to beat Tottenham Hotspur in a thrilling UEFA Super Cup final on Wednesday, August 13.

The match saw Champions League winners PSG take on Europa League champions Tottenham in what turned out to be a nail-biter.

Tottenham Take Early Control

Spurs dominated the first half, creating several big chances. Their pressure paid off in the 39th minute, when Micky van de Ven fired them ahead.

Just after half-time, things got even better for Tottenham. A goal from Cristian Romero in the 48th minute, following a goalkeeping error by PSG’s Chevalier, made it 2-0.

PSG Fight Back Late

Despite trailing, PSG controlled the ball and stayed patient. Their efforts were rewarded in the 85th minute, when Lee Kang-in pulled one back to make it 2-1.

Then, in stoppage time (90+4’), Gonçalo Ramos stepped up with a dramatic equalizer, sending the match into penalties.

PSG Hold Nerve in Shootout

In the penalty shootout, PSG kept their cool and converted their chances, while Spurs couldn’t keep up. With the win, PSG claim their fifth trophy of 2025, continuing their dominant run this year.
